About One District One Product (ODOP)

Banana crop has been selected in Burhanpur district under One District One Product. At present the area of banana crop in Burhanpur district is 25239 hectares whose production is 1766730 MT.

The district has received “Special Mention Award” in the year 2023-24 for its excellent work in banana production, productivity, marketing and processing under One District One Product. In the district, Rakhis, mats, purses, baskets, doormats, decorative items and other handicrafts are being made from the fiber obtained from banana plants.
