Statistics Of District

 

                          District Burhanpur is located in Tapti valley. It touches  the northern border of the Maharashtra State. it is divided in 2 development blocks namely  Burhanpur and Khaknar. It is consisting of 3 tehsils namely Nepanagar, Burhanpur & Khaknar. From Agriculture point of view district is very good. The major crops of the district are : Cotton, Banana, Sugarcane, wheat, chilly etc. Major occupation of district is agriculture. Handloom industry is also active in Burhanpur town.
